Christantus Uche Ignites Comfortable Crystal Palace Win at Irish Side Shelbourne.

Despite entering their first-ever European campaign, Crystal Palace are learning very quickly. Without star players like forward Jean-Philippe Mateta and defender Daniel Muñoz, the London club left Dublin with a comfortable win that virtually guarantees them a place in the Conference League qualifying rounds.

Another victory in their next match against Finnish KuPS should be sufficient to secure straight passage to the last 16, particularly after a previous stumble against Strasbourg.

Squad Members Grasp the Opportunity

This match offered a chance for some of Palace's fringe players to shine. Christantus Uche, in only his second start since joining on loan from Getafe, notched the account with a clinical goal. Striker Eddie Nketiah contributed a second, finding the net for the second game in match.

The youngster was desperately unlucky later on, seeing one shot strike off both posts before being clasped on the line. Uche also missed a glaring chance, showing there is still scope for development in his game.

A solitary worry for Palace was a late injury to Justin Devenny, who was forced off. This paved the way for 17-year-old striker Benji Casey to make his senior debut, capping an otherwise positive evening for the traveling side.
